For all that we are living in a world of big, bigger, biggest, I have always been intrigued by tiny homes and their simplicity, brilliant use of space and clever efficiencies. One need not be a “dwarf” (à la Snow White) or a little kid to appreciate the lure of small spaces. Yachts have similar design similarities and are one of the best and most refined examples of the kind, but the water thing is too wet and mobility-limiting for me (and the docking fees…!) and making one of those for yourself is pretty much limited to professionals with deep pockets.
My favorite group now has a blog now (sadly, not WordPress, so following it will be difficult except by remembering to go there as a result of tweets or stuff on FB because I DON’T need more email, having just eliminated 5 accounts!).
Jay goes into detail about the movement and there is plenty of information for small/tiny house junkies, and on his blog are some fascinating photos of past homes on wheels (poetry in motion!). Here are a few from that page.
